Sacred Heart Catholic School’s Athletics- Booster Club raised $7,427 during their “Hoopin’ for Hope” Pink Out Cancer Awareness Event that took place back in January at Sacred Heart Catholic School in Shawano. A check was presented to Mary Vosters-Brennan, Alex’s mother, and her husband, Dennis, during the school’s Athletic Banquet. The Pink Out event raises funds for Peace and Love For Alex, Inc., and was founded in 2013 by Mary Vosters-Brennan, mother of Alex, who wanted to honor her son, Alex John Sprangers, who died in April of 2012 after a hard fought battle with cancer.
