
Sharon A. Briske, age 85, of Pella passed away Sunday, August 22, 2021, at ThedaCare Medical Center – Shawano.
The former Sharon Anne Hubert was born on January 22, 1936, in Clintonville to Milton and Marcella (Meyer) Hubert. She grew up in the Marion area and graduated from Marion High School. Sharon was united in marriage on August 31, 1957, to Carl D. Briske at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marion. For a number of years, the couple farmed in the Town of Pella, Shawano County; and owned and operated the Pella Feed Mill. Sharon worked for many years as a wrapper at Graper Meats and she continued with the company when they became Adams Meats of Pella. Her husband preceded her in death on August 14, 2004.
Sharon was a longtime member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Leopolis, where she was active in the Fall Festival and most years was the top raffle ticket seller. She was an excellent cook and baker, especially her homemade donuts, cinnamon rolls, and breads. She also liked working in her vegetable garden and canning much of what she harvested. Sharon always loved cats, the Green Bay Packers, and going fishing up north.
Survivors include two sons, Rick (friend Dotty Nolan) Briske of Pella and Rob (friend Lisa Hulett) Briske of Marion. There are four grandchildren, Ashley (friend Brad Fish) Briske, Jason Briske, Ryan Briske, and Morgan Briske; and several great grandchildren. There are two sisters, Judy Blaese of Appleton and Jeanne (Harold) Schmidt of Marion. She is further survived by many other relatives and friends.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Carl; two sons, Randy and Ronald; a daughter-in-law, Sharon Briske; and one brother-in-law, Don Blaese.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, August 26th at 11:00 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Leopolis. Fr. Nonito Barra will officiate and burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Marion. Visitation will be on Thursday from 10:00 AM until time of mass at the church.
