The BABA Baseball Playoffs got underway over the weekend as teams play on a road towards a Grand Championship.
WEST DIVISION
#1 Little Falls 21, #4 Tigerton 0
Carter Kurki pitched 5 scoreless innings and had 6 strikeouts to lead Little Falls to a convincing 21-0 win over Tigerton. Kal Fischer was 3 for 5 with 5 RBI and scored 3 times. Cam Gruenwald had four hits in the game and Jenner Gullixon had a home run. Hayden Harris took the loss for Tigerton. Pat Bailey Sr. had the teams only hit.
#2 Caroline 11, #3 Tilleda 2
Neil Hoffman, Aaron Hoffman and Eric Kroening all had extra base hits and helped spark the Caroline bats to an 11-2 win over Tigerton. Phil Duffek had three hits. Bryson Bernarde earned the win while Zach Fehrman took the loss for Tilleda. Fehrman helped his own cause by hitting a double on a two-hit day. Adam Strassburg also had two hits on the losing end.

EAST DIVISION
#3 Gresham 11, Neopit 10
Gresham came back from a 10-8 deficit in the 9th inning and won the game on a double by Anthony Leaman 11-10. Neopit controlled the game early. Lowell Chevalier hit a home run for Neopit. Jordan Stichman and Tom Nietzer both hit a home run for Gresham. Paul Murphy earned the win over the Gophers.
#1 Clintonville 15, #4 Marion 6
Clintonville continued their success with a 15-6 win over Marion. Brock Smejkal threw 7 innings and did not surrender a hit. Mitch Ebben had a three-run home run and drove in four runs. Hunter Vollmer, Jared Cartwright and Turner Doornink all had multiple hits in the win. Jared Sonnenberg took the loss for Marion. Jake Westphal was 1 for 3 with an RBI and Joe Weyenberg was 1 for 4.

Tyler Nelson pitched a complete game shutout for Eland. Shane Larson was 2 for 3 with a double to lead the day at the plate.

Jeremy Dunnihoo pitched Scandy to a 14-1 win over Green Lake. Willie Rosenthal had three hits and drove in three runs to lead the way at the plate. Kevin Donahue took the loss for Green Lake. Jared Danke drove in the only run.
Kevin Jastromski and Joey Bartolone both had two hits to lead help lead Plover to a 9-1 win over Weymont. Zack Hintz earned the win, Trevor Wetzel took the loss. Wetzel and Adam Krause both had a hit for Weymont.
