Oconto Falls Officer Still Recovering

OCONTO FALLS, WI- An Oconto Falls police officer is expected to recover from the head wound she suffered Friday morning.  The officer’s name hasn’t been released.  She was responding to a location at about 10:30 a-m after dispatchers had received several 9-1-1 hang-up calls.  A 29-year-old woman is in custody.  Authorities say the officer continued to try to subdue the suspect even after she had been shot.  Oconto County Sheriff Todd Skarban says his office will recommend the suspect be charged with first-degree attempted homicide.  She hasn’t yet been identified.
