
Gail A. Eckardt, age 53, of Tigerton passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 7, 2021, at Marshfield Medical Center – Weston.
The former Gail Ann Mierzejewski was born on June 24, 1968, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Donald and Audrey (Mosher-Dentice) Mierzejewski. She grew up in the West Bend area and moved to Caroline in 1990. A few years later she settled in Tigerton. Gail was united in marriage on June 6, 1998, to Gary A. Eckardt at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Tigerton. Over the years, she worked several different parttime jobs, but her favorite task was always taking care of her family.
Gail is a longtime member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Tigerton. She enjoyed all sorts of outdoor activities, whether it was going four-wheeling, deer hunting, or fishing. Gail liked mowing the lawn, making crocheted items, and playing cards, especially sheepshead at family gatherings. She loved all her pets and will be remember most of all as a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a proud grandmother.
Survivors include her husband of 23 years, Gary; three children, Chris (Abbie) Mierzejewski of Wausau, Tina Eckardt of Tigerton, and Ann Eckardt of Tigerton; one granddaughter, Allison; and her mother-in-law, Gladys Eckardt of Tigerton. She is further survived by one sister, three brothers, many sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Gail was preceded in death by her parents; her father-in-law, Bernard Eckardt; and a brother-in-law, “Farmer” Fred Schreiber.
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 12th at 11:00 AM at Beil-Didier Funeral Home, Tigerton. Deacon Michael Brandt will officiate and burial will follow at Town of Morris Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 10:00 AM until time of service at the funeral home.
