MILWAUKEE, WI-The Brewers added a little punch to their lineup by trading for All-Star infielder Eduardo Escobar Wednesday. Milwaukee sent a pair of minor leaguers to the Diamondbacks in the trade – outfielder Cooper Hummel and infielder Alberto Ciprian. The 32-year-old Escobar has played mostly third base, but also lined up at second during his career. He’s hitting .246 with 22 home runs and 65 runs batted in this season. Escobar has put up a wins-above-replacement of two-point-one. Milwaukee has been carried by its pitching this year and could use a power bat in the lineup.
