COLEMAN, WI- Former Coleman Cougar Matt Osterberg was drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 15th round of the MLB Draft on Tuesday.
The left-handed pitcher came from St. Cloud State. Osterberg threw 159 2/3 innings and had a 3.72 ERA in his college career. This spring, Osterberg had a 3.78 ERA in 50 innings.
In High School, Osterberg was named the Division 3 Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Association Player of the Year during his Senior year.
