OCONTO, WI-Oconto County is seeing an increase in Tick borne illnesses.
The Health Department reported 10 cases among residents as of Thursday. In 2020, there were 9 cases total.
Symptoms of Anaplasmosis include fever, chills, severe headache, muscle aches, nausea and vomiting.
It is important to use repellent on skin and clothing, wear proper clothing, avoid direct contact with ticks and of course check for ticks after being outside and quickly remove any that are found.
