MADISON, WI- (Wisconsin Radio Network) – State health officials say nearly half of eligible Wisconsin residents have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. More than 45 percent – or two-million-624-thousand people – are now fully vaccinated. The seven-day average of new COVID cases continues to drop – and the positivity rate fell under one percent for the first time in more than a year. Nearly 43-hundred cases of virus variants have been confirmed in Wisconsin and doctors predict the Delta strain will become the most dominant.
