TOWN OF CICERO, WI – Two Gillett residents were injured after a single-vehicle rollover in Outagamie County early Monday morning.
Crews were called out to Highway 47, north of Cicero Road.
The investigation determined that an 18-year-old Gillett woman fell asleep while driving and entered a ditch, resulting in a rollover. The woman was able to exit the vehicle with minor injuries. The passenger, a 26-year-old Gillet woman was trapped inside the vehicle and had to be rescued. She suffered serious injuries and was taken to the hospital.
A single-vehicle rollover crash has left two people hurt, with one seriously injured.
Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash. The road was closed for 90 minutes before being reopened.
Wisconsin State Patrol, Nichols Fire Department, Black Creek Rescue, and Seymour Rescue assisted at the crash scene.
