
Harland William Zehren, age 86, of Bonduel, passed away on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 in Bonduel. Harland was born in New London on October 27, 1934, son of the late William and Irene (Holtz) Zehren. He grew up in Clintonville and graduated from Clintonville High School. He was drafted into the United States Army serving his country until his honorable discharge. On May 8, 1955 Harland was united in marriage to Lorraine Lohrengel at St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano. Harland worked at Badger Breeders and Midwest Breeders for many years, with over 100,000 first breedings, he was one of the top technicians in the country. In retirement he loved driving truck and spent time driving gas truck, milk truck, shuttling Peterbilt trucks and delivering parts for his grandson’s business, JR Machine. In his free time he enjoyed cutting wood, woodworking, snowmobiling, riding his motorcycle and traveling. Harland loved life, loved people, and was the “life of the party”. He cherished spending time with his beloved family. A wonderful husband, father, and grandfather, he will be deeply missed.
Harland is survived by: his wife of 66 years, Lorraine; twin daughters, Joy Tumanic of Rhinelander and Jane (fiancé Tony Rider) Winter of Hebron, KY; grandson, Parker (Stephanie) Tumanic; and two great granddaughters, Ivanna and Vivian.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Lanora Hartfiel.
A funeral service for Harland will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, June 7, 2021, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bonduel with Rev. Mark Palmer officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with military honors conducted by the Bonduel American Legion. Visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 12:30pm until the time of the service.
