BONDUEL, WI-A highway road closure starting date has been moved back. Highway 117 in Bonduel will have a temporary closure to fix the railroad trail crossing. The road closure was scheduled to take place on Tuesday, June 1, but will now start on Monday, June 7. The road is scheduled to remain closed for the rest of the month.
The official DOT detour will take vehicles from Highway 117, to Highway 29. From there vehicles can exit on Highway 47/55 (1st Shawano exit) and take that to Highway 22 into Cecil. Vehicles that would normally use Highway 117 to get from Cecil to Bonduel can follow the same roads.
The bridge was hit by a truck back in October of 2019. Since then, it has been removed and in order for vehicles to have access t0 117.
Another brief closure is scheduled for later in the month. Expressway road by Kwik Trip and Burger King will be closed on June 15, starting at 8:00 p.m., and will remain closed until 7:00 a.m. on June 16. Both Kwik Trip and Burger King will close early that night as there will not be any access on that road.
