GREEN BAY, WI- Authorities in the Green Bay area say a shooting at the Oneida Casino complex has left three dead, including the shooter. One person was wounded.
The shooter has been identified as 62-year-old Bruce K. Pofahl. Investigators say the shooter was targeting a specific person who wasn’t present at the Duck Creek Bar and Grill, inside the Radisson Hotel and Conference Center in Ashwaubenon.
Brown County Sheriff Todd Delain said Pofahl was terminated from the Duck Creek Bar and Grill earlier this year and was banned from the facility. They say he entered with a handgun and the whole incident took place in a matter of minutes.
The victims have been identified as 35-year-old Jacob T. Bartel and 32-year-old Ian J. Simpson.
28-year-old Daniel L. Mulligan was injured in the shooting and is listed in serious but stable condition.
Because so many people were present in the vicinity of the Saturday gunfire, authorities are still working on eyewitness statements.
Profahl was shot to death by responding law enforcement officers. That investigation is being handled by the State.
