HILBERT, WI- (Wisconsin Radio Network) – The Calumet County Sheriff’s Office says a man who thought he was going to meet a woman at a farm in a rural area near Hilbert was stabbed when he showed up. Deputies found him when they were asked to make a welfare check Monday. They say they were met at the door of the farm home and assured there were no problems. That’s when the victim came up from the basement with blood on his pants and suffering a stab wound. Thirty-year-old Juan Pablo Cruz was arrested and booked into the Calumet County Jail. A second suspect was arrested the next day in Brillion. That’s person name hasn’t been released.
