KESHENA, WI- Menominee Tribal Police releasing more information about a drug bust that took place over the weekend after a traffic stop. The incident took place on Saturday after a vehicle was pulled over in the Legend Lake area. Menominee Tribal Officers responded to assist Menominee County Sheriff Deputies and during that time, K9 Ruger was deployed and detected illegal drugs in the vehicle. The search located bags of crystal meth totaling around 61 grams and over $1,000 dollars in cash.
On Friday, members of the Menominee Tribal Police executed a search warrant in Middle Village as part of an ongoing drug investigation. One person was taken into custody. Illegal drugs, including heroin and fentanyl were found. There was also a drug bust a couple of weeks ago. Menominee Tribal Police officers seized crystal meth and fentanyl at a home in Keshena. Two people were taken into custody. In both cases, Menominee Tribal Family Services responded to help with children that were located in the home.
