ONEIDA, WI- (Wisconsin Radio Network) – Investigators with the Wisconsin Department of Justice have identified the officer and the subject involved in the shooting outside the Oneida Tribal Police Department’s dispatch center last Sunday. Officer Dakota Oskey was called back to the center from patrol when dispatchers say Carl King of Oneida got out of his vehicle and began acting erratically. Oskey returned and ended up in a gunfight with King. The officer wasn’t hit and is currently on administrative leave. King was wounded. He’s still being treated and is reported to be in stable condition.
