Nancy R. Hogan, age 81, of Clintonville passed away Monday, February 1, 2021 at Elijah’s Place Assisted Living in Oshkosh.
The former Nancy Rose Flanagan was born on September 9, 1939 in Green Bay to Frank and Josephine (Bricco) Flanagan. She grew up in Bear Creek on the family dairy farm and attended Bear Creek High School. Nancy was united in marriage on October 18, 1958 to John E. Hogan at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Bear Creek. The couple lived in Shawano for one year returning to Clintonville where they lived the rest of their married life. Nancy and John enjoyed taking their camper up north every possible weekend to Running’s Campground in Sugar Camp. Her husband preceded her in death on May 19, 2008.
Nancy worked for many years as a CNA at Pine Manor Nursing Home in Embarrass. She worked at the front desk and did cleaning at the Landmark Motel for some time. She was also employed at Pamida Discount Center for several years.
Nancy was a longtime member of St. Rose Catholic Church, Clintonville. She was very artistic and created lots of beautiful ceramic pieces. Nancy liked planting flowers, collecting roosters, and she always had a fond spot in her heart for cats. Nancy’s favorite time of year was most definitely the Christmas season. Each year she loved to have her home all decked out with beautiful decorations for the holiday. Nancy was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a proud grandmother.
Survivors include three sons, Daniel (Katherine) Hogan of Oshkosh, John (Joanna) Hogan of New Berlin, and James Hogan of Clintonville. There are three grandchildren, Brittany (fiancé Charlie), Dalton, and Ashley. She is further survived by many other relatives and friends.
