OSHKOSH, WI – (Wisconsin Radio Network) – Law enforcement authorities in the Fox Cities area are still looking for shooting suspect Dezman Ellis. Four people were arrested Monday after a vehicle belonging to Ellis was found by Oshkosh police.
Investigators think it was Ellis who shot 19-year-old Jovanni Frausto to death at Fox River Mall in Grand Chute Sunday afternoon. An anonymous caller told police where they could find the suspect vehicle and four people “became combative” with officers when they showed up.
Police say Ellis should be considered armed and dangerous. They are telling people not to approach him, but call Grand Chute police if they know or see anything.
Police in Grand Chute say two people were shot at the Fox River Mall Sunday afternoon and one has died, 19-year-old Jovanni J. Frausto of Neenah. Authorities are still searching for the shooting suspect, 17-year-old Dezman V. Ellis, who apparently fled the scene before officers arrived. More than a dozen law enforcement vehicles, two fire trucks, a Wisconsin State Patrol car, and an Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office vehicle were parked outside the mall while it was searched top-to-bottom. Authorities say Frausto was apparently targeted and Ellis should be considered armed and dangerous.
