PHOENIX, AZ – (Wisconsin Radio Network) -The Milwaukee Brewers may have to wait a bit longer for spring baseball. Arizona officials are asking Major League Baseball to delay the start of spring training. The Arizona Cactus League Association sent a letter to M-L-B commissioner Rob Manfred asking the league to delay spring training to allow the COVID-19 situation to improve in Maricopa County. The letter is also signed by Arizona mayors and city managers from cities that have stadiums. The league has reportedly told its teams to prepare for an on-time start for both spring training and the regular season. The Brewers play at American Family Fields of Phoenix in Maryvale.
