GREEN BAY, WI- (Wisconsin Radio Network) – Seventy-four-year-old Wallace C. Bowers was arrested for his 18th offense on Green Bay’s east side last Friday.
When his vehicle clammed into a power pole more than three-thousand customers lost their electrical service.
Bowers’ arrests for O-W-I date back for more than 32 years.
Officers say they weren’t able to perform all field sobriety tests because Bowers’ prosthetic leg came off in the crash.
Green Bay Police Chief Andrew Smith says he is “frankly shocked” that anyone with 17 arrests for operating while intoxicated is still driving.
