SHAWANO, WI- Three of the Shawano School Board’s nine seats are up for grabs in the Spring and already candidates have turned in completed paperwork.
In Area 1, which includes the Town of Richmond, Town of Pella, and the Town of Herman, three candidates have turned in completed paperwork as of Monday afternoon. Incumbent Charles (Chuck) Dallas has turned in papers for re-election. Two others have turned in paperwork for that seat, James A Davel and Sam Sousek. If the paperwork for all three candidates checks out, there would be a primary election in February to narrow the list down to two finalists for the April election.
Two other current school board members, Tyler Schmidt, who represents the City of Shawano, and Bruce Milivitz, an At-Large board member, have decided not to run again, leaving both seats vacant. As of Monday afternoon, no candidates have turned in completed paperwork for either seat. Candidates for the at-large seat can come from any of the areas in the Shawano School District.
Candidates have until 5:00 p.m on January 5th to take out and turn in completed paperwork with the required number of signatures to be on the ballot.
