MOUNTAIN, WI-An Oconto County man is facing prison time after being charged with his 10th drunk driving offense.
51-year-old Martin Cooper of Mountain was said to have been on extended supervision for his 9th offense when he was stopped earlier this month in Mountain.
A conviction for Cooper’s 9th offense came from Shawano County.
According to the police report, the vehicle that Cooper was allegedly driving, sped past the deputy and reached speeds of 80 miles per hour.
The police report indicated that Cooper had to steady himself by holding onto the vehicle door when attempting to exit the vehicle and the preliminary breath test came back with a BAC of 0.173%.
Court records show that Cooper has numerous traffic citations since being released on extended supervision back in March of 2019.
Cooper is facing a minimum of four years in prison if convicted.
