LITTLE CHUTE, WI- (Wisconsin Radio Network) – The Fox Valley Metro Police Department has figured out what people in Little Chute were feeling and hearing Wednesday night.
Many called to report the shaking and thumping at about 7:00 p-m.
Police determined the vibrations were caused by a release of methane gas at the Brown County Waste Transfer Station.
Investigators say it’s not an uncommon occurrence, but this is the first time it resulted in multiple reports from the public wanting to know what was going on.
