He served in the U.S. Army from 1968-1970. Bob was united in marriage on October 26, 1974 to Melanie M. Neuman at St. John Lutheran Church, Tigerton. He was an over the road truck driver for many years. Bob drove truck for Hanson Sanitation of Wittenberg, then with Faulk Brothers out of Waupaca, and finally was employed by Bushman Trucking in Galloway. Over his career, Bob drove truck in 47 different states and put on over a million miles around the country. He liked traveling the United States and always had the best front seat view; he especially enjoyed trips to the Great Smokey Mountains in Tennessee.
Bob was a former member of St. John Lutheran Church, Tigerton, and currently is a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Elderon. He also appreciated the outdoors whether it was going fishing or deer hunting. Just a few days ago he was so proud to hear the news about his granddaughter Jessica shooting her first deer! He liked watching television shows like NAT GEO and other nature programs, especially ones about Alaska. He was very handy too and fixed small engines and tinkered around on lawn mowers out in his workshop. Bob was an excellent cook, he loved his dogs, and he could share the most amazing stories. He will be remembered most as a true genuine individual. Sometimes he could be strong willed, but he always had a wonderful sense of humor. Bob was a man of deep faith and was not afraid to show it with family and friends.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Melanie; three children, Anita Kostuch, David (Joleen) Kostuch, and Daniel Kostuch, all of Tigerton; five grandchildren, Joshua, Megan, Samuel, Robert, and Jessica; and one great granddaughter, Adalynn.
