Douglas A. Fehrman, age 52 of the Town of Morris, passed away at his home surrounded by his loved ones on Monday, November 23, 2020. Douglas was born on August 28, 1968 to Allen and JoAnn (DeBra) Fehrman. He was a 1986 graduate of Marion High School. He went on to Fox Valley Technical School where he earned a degree in metal fabrication. On April 12, 1997, Douglas was united in marriage to Valerie S. Carroll at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Leopolis. Doug worked at Welch’s Fire Equipment in Marion, Pierce Manufacturing in Appleton, and most recently Glover Manufacturing in Wittenberg. Doug was a history buff and had a wealth of random trivia knowledge. Doug had many interests including tractors and guns. He enjoyed hunting and baseball and was inducted into the Tilleda BABA Hall of Fame. Doug was a 4-H leader for over 25 years. Doug could fix anything and had an adventurous spirit. He loved trying new things such as, bee keeping, raising pheasants, restoring classic cars, and cooking maple syrup, to name a few. His family was always the most important thing to Doug, he enjoyed family trips, and attending his children’s sporting events.
Douglas is survived by his wife of 23 years, Valerie; children, Katelyn and Zachary; parents, Allen and JoAnn; sister, Kerry Danley; maternal grandmother, Myrtle James; father-in-law, Leland Carroll; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, James (Annette) Carroll, David (Sandra) Carroll, Patrick Carroll, Lee Ann (Joe) Lanucha, Gregory (Vanessa) Carroll, Thomas (Kim) Carroll, Vincent Carroll, Sabina Carroll, and Mary (Michael) Creapeau. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents Harvey and Maxine Fehrman, maternal grandfather Alfred DeBra, and mother-in-law Sabina Carroll.
A funeral service for Doug will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, November 30, 2020 at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano. Burial will be in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Leopolis. Visitation will be held on Monday at the funeral home in Shawano from 9:30 am until the time of the service.
