Frank M. Babino, age 76, of Shiocton passed away Thursday, October 29, 2020 at Crossroads Care Center, Weyauwega.
Frank Martin Babino was born July 30, 1944 at home in the Town of Bear Creek, Waupaca County, to Herman and Vera (Jepson) Babino. As a young man, he worked on several dairy farms in the area. Frank was united in marriage on May 22, 1967 to Patsy L. Clark at the Courthouse in Appleton. In the late 1960’s the couple settled on County Road FF in rural Shiocton. For sixteen years Frank was employed at Hillshire Farms in New London until 1985. Then in 1986 he started taking small engine repair classes at FVTC in Appleton. Frank began his own repair shop out of his home garage which he operated for many years. His wife preceded him in death on December 4, 2009.
He was quite handy and could fix just about anything. Frank liked to tinker around for hours with all sorts of projects in his workshop. He often enjoyed the outdoors whether it was catching catfish, trapping, gun deer hunting, or riding his Polaris ATV. Frank was always a hard-working person and he often helped out neighbors and friends with whatever they needed. All of his “tall tales” that he shared with others about his life were true!
