MADISON, WI- The State health department is confirming 2,998 new cases of COVID-19 Friday which is just below the record number of cases set on Thursday when the report showed 3,132 cases.
There were also 11,834 negative tests Friday.
In Waupaca County, Thursday’s numbers showed 1,545 positive cases, an increase of 43 cases from Wednesday. There was also one more death reported, bringing the total to 23 in the county. 362 cases were listed as active and 385 cases were listed as pending.
Shawano County had an increase of 68 cases between Wednesday and Thursday, reporting a total of 1,443 positive cases. The county reported 10,376 negative cases in Thursday’s report along with 471 pending cases, 815 active cases and 6 deaths.
Menominee County had 6 more positive cases reported on Thursday, bringing the total to 160. 219 cases are pending and 98 cases are active.
