WITTENBERG, WI -State Representative Gary Tauchen was the recipient of the Friend of Grocers award that was presented by the Wisconsin Grocers Association.
The award is given to legislators who score highly on the Legislative Report Card that the WGA puts out, which studies all legislator’s performance in the previous Legislative Session.
Lawmakers are evaluated on their actions on issues that are important to the grocery industry. This is the third time that Tauchen has received the award.
Tauchen authored two bill one that allows for alcohol delivery and pickup and one that deals with streamlining bartenders licenses and personal property tax reform.
The award was presented Tuesday at Hanke’s Sentry Foods in Wittenberg.
