
Harold C. “Hairball” Fielding, age 79, of New London, passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2020, at ThedaCare in New London, following his 2nd battle with cancer. Harold was born to the late Charles and Grace (Herzfeldt) Fielding on November 6, 1940, in Dale, WI. Harold was united in marriage to Yvonne M. Beyer on April 28, 1962. He was self-employed for most of his career, as the owner of Fielding Siding and Windows. In addition to spending time with his family, Harold loved hunting, fishing, working in his shop and socializing at the bar.
Harold is survived by his children, Brenda (Kevin) Huse, Brian, Bruce (Barb) and Brad (Megan); grandchildren, Rachel, Amanda (Gregg) Rieckmann, Lindsay (Tanner) Buchholz, Cody (Kyra) Kallas, Josh Wickman, Shawn (Danielle) Fielding, Jesse (special friend Vicki) Fielding, Tony (Kayla) Wedelstadt, Seth Fielding, Olivia Williams, Braeden (special friend Maddie) Fielding and Jude and Rhys Fielding; fourteen great-grandchildren; siblings, Gene (Janice) Fielding and Darlene (Dennis) Steinbach; mother-in-law, Dorothy Finger; sisters-in-law, Judy Schertz, Peachy Wegner and Barb Beyer and brother-in-law, Dale Beyer. He is further survived by many other family members, friends and furry friend Buddy.
Harold was preceded in death by his wife, Yvonne; his parents and fathers-in-law, Lawrence Beyer and Glyndon Finger.
Join us in celebrating Hairball’s life on Saturday, August 8, 2020, from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. at The Waters Supper Club in New London. Bring your best Hairball stories! Burial will be at Floral Hill Cemetery, New London at a later date.
The family wishes to thank the caring staff at ThedaCare New London, ThedaCare Cancer Center and all of Hairball’s special neighbors.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
