GREEN BAY, WI – A woman has been sentenced in federal court for providing fentanyl that caused the death of a man last summer. Elmira J. Corn, formaly of Neopit, was sentenced to two years in federal prison and three years of supervised release.
Back in July of last year, Corn delivered a bill that was consumed by 37-year-old Leon Caldwell, who died three hours later. Corn was arrested for encouraging the attack of a witness who spoke with investigators about what she knew about Corn.
Judge William Griesbach called the crime serious and said it was not an assault of just the victim, but of the whole justice system. He said the behavior will not be tolerated.
