
Malcolm Heins, age 77, of Gresham, passed away on Wednesday, June 03, 2020 at Ascension Eagle River Hospital. Malcolm was born on July 19, 1942, in the town of Seneca, to the late Paul and Isabelle (Schreiber) Heins. On February 10, 1962, Malcolm was united in marriage to Darlene Rickert in the town of Seneca. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Malcolm was a truck driver by trade working for Marten Transport and then Hoffman’s Transit until his retirement in 2012. He had a liking for John Deere tractors. Malcolm enjoyed bowling and riding bikes. He had a love for cowboy boots, hats, dancing and singing karaoke.
Malcolm is survived by: his wife of 58 years, Darlene; his only daughter, Colleen (Joseph, Sr.) Rudesill of Gresham; his grandchildren, Joseph (Sara) Rudesill, Jr. of Rhinelander, Brandon (Holly) Rudesill of Clintonville, and Dakota (Koderay) Adams of Gresham; four great-grandchildren, Dezarae, Hailie, Joseph Thomas III, and Cordelia; his siblings, Ivan (Nancy) Heins of Gresham, Sally Foster of Milwaukee, and Myrthon Heins of Gresham. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Lee, and one sister Clarissa.
A funeral service for Malcolm will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, June 6, 2020 at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with Bishop Randy Hoffman officiating. Burial will be in Gresham Public Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday at the church from 10:00 am until the time of service.
