
Christopher M. Malueg, age 32, of Menasha passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 12, 2020.
Christopher Michael Malueg was born on September 18, 1987 at Antigo Hospital to Kurt and Mary (Wanta) Malueg. He grew up and attended school in Wittenberg. Chris went on to Fox Valley Technical College, Appleton, where he received an Associate Degree in Substance Abuse Counseling. He started out as an AODA Counselor with Mooring Halfway House in Appleton. Then he was employed for some time at Willow Creek Behavioral Health in Green Bay. Chris was proud to continue as a counselor with Genesis Behavioral Service in Oshkosh.
Chris was an active member of Refuge Church in Appleton and a former member of the Larsen-Winchester Lions Club. He enjoyed restoring cars and riding around town in his classic Cadillac. Chris liked racing RC cars, playing cribbage, winning at poker, watching WWE Wrestling, and spending time outdoors, especially at his grandma Ethel’s house. Chris was often the “life of the party” and could make a friend wherever he went. He will be remembered most for his wonderful sense of humor and often helping others. Chris always cherished the time spent with his children and family.
Survivors include his two children, Vanessa and Kayden; his mother, Mary Tullberg; and his father, Kurt Malueg. There are five brothers: Josh Malueg, Jason Malueg, Kyle Fredrickson, Karl Fredrickson, and Keith Malueg. There are five aunts and one uncle: Pat (Bob) Laurent, Cheryl Pehlke, Linda Wanta, Mike (Carri) Wanta, Michelle (Ron) Olson, and Julie (special friend Terry Quaintance) Fry. He is further survived by a former spouse Ashley Malueg; former stepfather Terry Tullberg; one niece and one nephew; many other relatives and friends.
Chris was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, William and Irene Wanta Sr.; his paternal grandmother, Ethel Schauske; one niece Hope; an aunt Renee Meyer; three uncles William Wanta Jr., Michael Fry, and Herb Pehlke.
Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 30th at 11:00 AM at Family of Christ Church, 600 S. Main St., Clintonville 54929. Pastor Bee Vang will officiate and inurnment will be at Royer Cemetery – Town of Clayton. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:00 AM until time of service at the church.
