TOWN OF STEPHENSON, WI – Marinette County Sheriff Officials say a single vehicle traffic crash on Sunday afternoon has turned fatal.
The driver, 66-year-old Terrance Engel of Crivitz died after being taken to the hospital.
The call came in for a one vehicle crash just after noon on County W near Senator Lake Road. Officials say the vehicle that Engel was operating drove off the road and hit some trees, leading to him being ejected from the vehicle.
Engel was airlifted to the hospital.
Officers say alcohol and no seat belt usage are believed to be factors in the crash.
The fatality was the first of the year in Marinette County.
