CLINTONVILLE, WI – The Clintonville School District plans to send out a survey to members in the School District and Clintonville Community to help develop a plan that reflects the needs of the students and priorities of the taxpayers.
School District Superintendent David Dyb says a referendum for building upgrades failed back in 2017, but the need is still there.
The District says there is a need for updating aging building systems, addressing code compliance issues and improving educational areas.
The School Board feels that this is a good time to consider investing in the school due to historically low rates and future federal stimulus funding that will be available for “shovel ready projects.”
“COVID-19 has challenged our staff as we have done everything in our power to provide at-home learning opportunities and meals for students,” said Dyb.
He says they are asking for a voice in the planning process.
The surveys will arrive in early May and residents are being asked to take 5 to 10 minutes to complete it.
Households will be mailed a paper version and there will also be a link to take the survey online. All adults who are eligible to vote are encouraged to take the survey.
