It is never easy to predict who the Packers will take in the NFL Draft, but our sports gurus took an attempt.
SPORTS DIRECTOR – BRAD WILLIAMS – Maybe the power of Leroy Butler will help with this one.
I really think the Packers will not be picking at 30 when all is said and done. If Ted Thompson was making the pick, I would say they would stand a good chance of moving back in the draft, but this may be the year they move up. If that is the case, is this the year they get their future quarterback? Someone like Jordan Love, QB Utah State would be interesting. If they move up, I would expect them to go after a player like Andrew Thomas, OT, Georgia, Denzel Mims, WR, Baylor or Justin Jefferson, WR, LSU.
If I have to pick their guy at 30, I would choose Ezra Cleveland, OT, Boise State. He is smart, (scoring the highest in the Wonderlic Test for players in his position and he is quick. Most importantly, he fills the need that the team has to help their offense click. Go Pack Go!
FINAL CHOICE: Ezra Cleveland, OT, Boise State
SPORTS ANNOUNCER- JAY VANSTIPHOUT – He has the look of confidence.
I see the Packers going after a Wide Receiver. At 30, there will be plenty available still, but I think one guy that may fall to them is Brandon Aiyuk, WR, Arizona State. Aiyuk (6-0, 205) became a starter at Arizona State in 2019 and had a big season with 65 catches, 1,192 receiving yards (18.3) and 8 touchdown. I think his style fits what the Packers are looking for, and if he is there at 30, it would be a great pickup.
FINAL CHOICE: Brandon Aiyuk, WR, Arizona State
SPORTS ANNOUNCER- DOUG ROGERS – Doug had help with his pick from a feathered friend.
Everyone is talking wide receiver for the Pack but there is plenty of them and like they tend to do, they can find a diamond in the rough later in the draft. Does everyone remember what went wrong in the NFC Championship game last year, they need instant help at Linebacker. One guy I think could be there for them is ILB Patrick Queen of LSU. Queen can change direction in a hurry; he also has sufficient burst coming out of breaks and would be a great fit. I think they could also maybe find their way to Kenneth Murray ILB Oklahoma as well, but they went with a King before, it is time for a Queen.
FINAL CHOICE: ILB Patrick Queen of LSU
