SHAWANO, WI – The Shawano City Council held a Zoom meeting Tuesday and elected a new Council President.
Rhonda Strebel takes over the role that was held by Sandy Steinke.
“I want to say thank you to the whole council for your support,” Steinke said during the meeting. “You guys are a great team and I know under Rhonda we will be even better.”
The Mayor’s committee and commission appointments were approved by the Council.
Many of the appointments were reappointments for community members currently serving.
Strebel then made her appointments for which committees and commissions the council members would serve on.
