KESHENA, WI – Menominee Tribal officials say they are investigating heroin that is laced with fentanyl or another unknown substance.
The belief is that it may be circulating through the community.
Saturday night, shortly after midnight, officers responded to assist a male that was not breathing.
It was believed that he overdosed and officers distributed NARCAN, however, EMS crews were not able to save the man.
A second situation was reported minutes later, and crews were able to revive that individual.
Officers believe that the heroin came from the same person.
Officers arrested a female person of interest and found a supply of drugs.
Officers responded to two other overdose calls on Saturday and say they are willing to collect heroin or other drugs with no questions asked.
