GREEN BAY, WI – The Diocese of Green Bay is limiting public involvement in catholic church events and celebrations including mass.
“Up until mid-April, the public celebration of mass is being prohibited.”
Father Scott Valentyn of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shawano says they will still say mass, just not with people in attendance and they plan to provide a streaming service.
“Holy communion can be administrated to the faithful but only for grave reasons and only individually,” said Father Valentyn.
The public restrictions also include baptisms, weddings, funerals, and last rights where only limited people will be able to participate.
