SHAWANO, WI β Republican candidate for governor Tom Tiffany made a campaign stop at the Lighthouse in Shawano yesterday, meeting with local business owners and community members as part of a swing through Northeast Wisconsin.
During the stop, Tiffany was asked why visiting communities like Shawano is important to his campaign.
βItβs these communities, that have 10,000, 15,000 people across them, they are the backbone of Wisconsin,β Tiffany said.
Tiffany says stops in smaller communities give him an opportunity to hear directly from residents and business owners about the issues affecting them.
He says several more campaign stops are planned across Northeast Wisconsin, along with additional visits farther north as his campaign continues.
