Safety Concerns Prompt Temporary Changes at U.S. 10, Anderson Road

WAUPACA COUNTY, WI – The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is making temporary traffic changes at the U.S. 10 and Anderson Road intersection in Waupaca County in response to safety concerns.

Under the temporary configuration, Anderson Road will operate as a right-in, right-out intersection. Left turns and U-turns will be restricted.

WisDOT says the change is being made after the closure of the WIS 54 ramp from U.S. 10 created an unsafe traffic pattern at Anderson Road.

Officials say the temporary restrictions are intended to improve safety while the WIS 54 ramp remains closed.

The changes are separate from a larger improvement project planned for the intersection in 2030. That project remains in the design stage.

Normal traffic patterns at Anderson Road are expected to return once the WIS 54 ramp reopens.
