New Leader Selected For Menominee Nation Schools

KESHENA, WI- The Menominee Nation School District will begin the new school year with longtime Menominee educator Shannon Chapman serving as its new superintendent. Chapman was unanimously approved by the School Board in May and brings nearly three decades of experience in education to the position. A 1991 Menominee Indian High School graduate, Chapman spent 20 years at the Menominee Tribal School before serving the past decade as Menominee Tribal Education Director. Chapman says her priorities include strengthening academics, expanding Menominee language and culture throughout the district, increasing family involvement, and developing stronger college and career pathways for students.
