OCONTO COUNTY, WI – A 21-year-old Oconto County man has been ordered to stand trial in connection with a fatal traffic crash that killed a motorcyclist in 2023.
Caleb Mihalski appeared in court Friday for a preliminary hearing, where a judge found sufficient evidence to bind the case over for trial.
Prosecutors allege Mihalski attempted to pass a semi-truck in a no-passing zone on State Highway 22 near Gillett before colliding head-on with an oncoming motorcycle.
Mihalski is charged with homicide by vehicle involving a controlled substance and second-degree recklessly endangering safety.
His arraignment is scheduled for August 25.
