Shawano Police stayed busy Tuesday with a variety of calls across the city. Officers responded early in the morning to reports of two stray corgis near South Sawyer Street and East Division Street.
Just after noon, police investigated a report of a mail carrier being attacked by a dog on South Lafayette Street. According to the activity log, the carrier was not injured, but officials noted it was not the first complaint involving the dog leaving its property, raising concerns about public safety.
During the afternoon, officers assisted with a medical emergency on Waukechon Street and later responded to a report of people panhandling near East Green Bay Street and Eberlein Park Drive.
Police also recovered a child’s Spider-Man bicycle found behind a residence on South Andrews Street and answered another stray dog complaint late Tuesday night near West Green Bay Street and North Lafayette Street.
The day’s activity also included several traffic stops, building checks, and assistance to other law enforcement agencies.
Clintonville Police responded to a variety of calls throughout Tuesday, August 4th. The day began with an early morning ambulance call on West Morning Glory Drive, followed by a report of a suspicious person near North Main and 20th Streets. Officers also conducted extra patrols at several locations throughout the day and evening, including North Main Street, East Morning Glory Drive, Spring Street, and Memorial Circle.
Police assisted residents with a citizen assist on Lincoln Avenue and provided two escorts, one on South Clinton Avenue and another on South Main Street.
Officers also responded to a utility problem at East First Street and East Morning Glory Drive, investigated a reported theft on West Madison Street, and handled a domestic disturbance on Harriet Street.
The day concluded with another ambulance response on Industrial Avenue as officers continued routine patrols across the city.
Shawano County deputies stayed busy throughout Tuesday with a mix of traffic enforcement, animal calls, and a handful of more serious incidents.
The day began with a long string of overnight traffic stops across Birnamwood, Clintonville, Tigerton, and Cecil. Most resulted in warnings, including one at HY 45 and County Road ZZ where the driver was cited for speeding according to the report.
Around 8:27 a.m., deputies responded to an animal problem on Highway 45 near Hemlock Road, where a caller reported a deer on the west side of the roadway that “needs to be dispatched.”
A more serious call came just before 9:45 a.m., when authorities were notified of a rolled‑over semi tanker on Leopolis Road near County G. The report notes the crash involved injuries but no road blockage, allowing traffic to continue moving through the area.
Later in the afternoon, deputies investigated a scam reported by a Wittenberg woman who said she attempted to rent a vehicle from Enterprise. She was told to purchase a prepaid card for delivery, but the car never arrived — and the caller later demanded additional payment. The sheriff’s office is continuing to review the incident.
At 4:49 p.m., both Shawano County deputies and Stockbridge‑Munsee Police responded to a disturbance on Fischer Street in Gresham.
The evening wrapped with more traffic stops and a noise complaint on Pathfinder Circle, where loud bass music was reported as an ongoing issue.
