Alan David Timmel was born on July 17, 1959 in New London as the son of the late Douglas and Marguerite (Steenbock) Timmel. He was baptized, confirmed, and married all at Trinity Lutheran Church, Town of Bear Creek where he was a life-long member. Alan grew up on a dairy farm and graduated from Clintonville High School in 1977. He was united in marriage to Marcia Pethke on April 30, 1988. As a faithful member at Trinity, Alan served as an Elder and a Trustee over the years. He spent his career driving truck for MCC and also drove milk truck. He sold his last cow from the family hobby farm in 2019 and hauled hay and silage for area farmers in retirement. Alan enjoyed spending time with his family and friends at their cabin in Boulder Junction and attended the Union Thresheree each year as well as other shows around the state. As July rolled around each year he would twist a few arms to have one more ice cold Pabst Blue Ribbon because “it’s only my birthday once a year”. Next to his love for his Lord and family, Alan definitely had a special place in his heart for his dog Rosco who was his faithful companion; especially while Alan was going through his cancer treatments.

Father-in-law: Marvin Pethke.
Sister: Kathryn (Rick) Peters.
Brothers-in-law & Sisters-in-law: Jeff & Marcia Pethke, Kevin & Brenda Tornow, and Lydell & Sheryl Pethke.
Also many nieces, great nephews, great nieces, and close friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Douglas and Marguerite Timmel and by his mother-in-law June Pethke.
Alan’s funeral service will be held Thursday, August 6, 2026 at 11am at Trinity Lutheran Church in the Town of Bear Creek, with Rev. Andrew Harris officiating. Interment will take place at the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 from 4-8pm at the Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory North Location (53 N. Main Street, Clintonville, WI 54929) and again at the church on Thursday from 9am until the time of the service. The Timmel family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff of ThedaCare at Home Hospice for all of their assistance.
