CLINTONVILLE, WI – Families in the Clintonville area are invited to a free afternoon of games, activities, and worship this Saturday as Hope Community Church brings its Summer Blast Pop-Up to Olen Park.
Pastor Marshall Faulks said the event is designed as a one-day version of the church’s popular week-long Summer Blast program, giving families an opportunity to enjoy an afternoon together.
“Really just going to be a pop-up of Summer Blast, so it’s a one-time event,” Faulks said. “Registration will start at 2:30 to 3.”
The family-friendly event will feature games, interactive activities, and Bible teaching, with parents encouraged to stay and participate alongside their children.
Church leaders say they also hope kids leave with an encouraging message.
Pastor Kyle Johnson said one of the featured activities will teach children about having courage and trusting God instead of living in fear.
“We want to be courageous in what we do,” Johnson said. “One thing that we’ll do is kind of make pancakes out of the kids. We’ll put an egg on them, put some flour on their heads.”
Organizers say the fun-filled activity is intended to reinforce the day’s message while creating memorable experiences for children and families.
Summer Blast Pop-Up runs Saturday through 5:30 p.m. at Olen Park in Clintonville. A free community dinner will follow the event, and everyone is invited to stay for a Night of Worship beginning at 6 p.m. at the Olen Park ball fields.
