Jerry Alvin Wegener was born on July 15, 1952 in New London as the son of the late David and Evern (Miller) Wegener. He was baptized, confirmed, and attended grade school at St. Martin Lutheran Church in Clintonville where he was a lifelong member. Jerry graduated from Clintonville High School with the Class of 1970 and was united in marriage to Linda Polzin on February 17, 1973. The couple resided in Clintonville and were seemingly always at each other’s side. They loved traveling the state attending dirt track races and enjoyed yearly trips to Las Vegas, NV. Jerry worked for Miller Electric for 45 years prior to his retirement; some of those final years he spent working alongside his son Christopher. In his free time, Jerry enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, playing fast and slow pitch softball with his cousins, and working in his flower garden. He had a green thumb that made many in his family jealous of his ability to grow anything. Jerry was also a huge fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and made a point of never missing a game.
