Shawano Police were kept busy Monday, July 20th, responding to a wide variety of calls across the city. Officers handled an overnight disturbance at an apartment on East Richmond Street, investigated a suspicious complaint on Prospect Circle, and checked on a disabled vehicle after reports of a person passed out behind the wheel near Airport Drive and Engel Drive.
During the day, police responded to a fight at the Kwik Trip on East Green Bay Street, investigated a reported retail theft at Walgreens, and took a hit-and-run report at the Shawano Post Office. Officers also assisted ambulance crews on several medical calls, addressed traffic hazards, complaints about loud ATVs and mini bikes, a dog left in a vehicle, littering, fireworks, and conducted a welfare check Monday evening.
Clintonville Police responded to a variety of calls yesterday, keeping officers active across the city. The day began with business checks and a welfare check on West Madison Street, followed by extra patrols on North Main Street. Officers also provided mutual aid along Highway 22 and assisted another agency on Motor Street.
During the afternoon, police investigated a fraud complaint on Summer Street and responded to a report of property damage on North 12th Street. Traffic enforcement continued into the evening with stops on West Madison Street and at the intersection of South Main and East Madison Streets.
Later in the night, officers conducted extra patrols around Memorial Circle, responded to a civil complaint on West Morning Glory Drive, and handled a mental health-related call on Motor Street.
The Shawano County Sheriff’s Office responded to a busy mix of incidents across the county yesterday. Deputies began the day by responding to a personal injury crash at Highway 29 and Killdeer Road, followed shortly by a disabled vehicle near Airport Drive and Engel Drive where a driver was reportedly found passed out behind the wheel. Overnight, deputies also investigated a suspicious vehicle in the Town of Wittenberg and assisted Clintonville Police during a welfare check.
As the day continued, deputies handled several welfare checks, including one involving concerns for an individual reportedly making suicidal statements, prompting an immediate response. They also investigated a residential alarm, attempted to locate a missing individual, and responded to a report of grass clippings creating a traffic hazard on Campfire Road.
In Bonduel, deputies investigated the theft of a car jack and jack stands, while later in the afternoon they responded to a report of reckless driving involving a vehicle traveling erratically. Additional calls included a reported water tower utility problem, an assault involving inmates at the Shawano County Jail, and several traffic stops and traffic hazards before the evening came to a close.
The Stockbridge-Munsee Police Department also investigated two gas drive-off thefts at a local convenience store and responded to a disabled vehicle blocking access along County Highway A.
