Shawano Police stayed busy throughout the day Sunday, responding to a wide range of calls across the city. Officers handled numerous traffic stops, including speeding and equipment violations, while also investigating reports of reckless driving and a hit-and-run involving a parked vehicle at ThedaCare Medical Center.
Police also responded to reports of a stray German shepherd running along East Green Bay Street, a welfare check, and a call about a dog left inside a vehicle at the hospital parking lot during warm weather. Officers determined the situation and cleared the call.
Other incidents included a domestic disturbance, a reported break-in at a storage unit on East Richmond Street, a suspicious situation outside a local business, and a late-night disturbance at an apartment building. Early Monday morning, officers also assisted with a disabled vehicle after a driver was reported passed out behind the wheel.
Clintonville Police had a busy Sunday, July 19th, with officers conducting proactive patrols throughout the community while responding to a variety of calls.
The day began with several overnight traffic stops and an open-door investigation on 10th Street. Officers also increased patrols in neighborhoods, parks, and business districts, including Pickerel Point Playground, Picnic Point, Memorial Circle, and along North and South Main Streets. Numerous business checks were completed during the overnight hours as part of routine crime prevention efforts.
Throughout the day, police conducted additional traffic enforcement at several intersections around the city and assisted with a vehicle lockout on Elm Street.
During the evening, officers responded to reports of trespassing on West Madison Street and later investigated a disorderly incident on South Main Street. The shift wrapped up with another traffic stop near South Main Street and Reinke Road.
The Shawano County Sheriff’s Office responded to 38 incidents across the county on Sunday, keeping deputies busy with everything from traffic enforcement to emergency calls and public safety concerns.
The day began with reports of bail jumping, reckless driving, an abandoned vehicle blocking traffic at the Embarrass River ATV Park, and a property-damage crash on Green Valley Road. Deputies also investigated a traffic hazard after cyclists were reported riding in the roadway on County Highway B-E near Shawano.
Throughout the afternoon, deputies responded to a disabled vehicle, a juvenile problem, several 911 calls, an alarm, and a controlled burn that produced heavy black smoke. They also handled a civil matter involving damage caused by a golf ball and an animal complaint.
During the evening hours, deputies investigated a disorderly conduct complaint in Bonduel, responded to an overdose, checked on the welfare of several individuals, and handled reports of reckless driving, including one involving a pickup truck reportedly traveling around 90 miles per hour. They also investigated two juvenile runaway cases before ending the day with additional traffic stops across the county.
