Iola-Scandinavia's Korz Loken Leads Area Tight End Prospects Entering 2026 Football Season

The tight end position has become one of the fastest-growing pipelines in Wisconsin high school football, and one of the state’s top prospects is right in the backyard of Shawano.

Iola-Scandinavia senior-to-be Korz Loken headlines a strong group of Class of 2027 tight end and fullback prospects, earning recognition as one of the top players at his position not only in Wisconsin, but nationally.

Loken, a 6-foot-5, 230-pound athlete, has already made his college decision, committing to stay home and play for the Wisconsin Badgers.

While his junior season was limited by an early injury, Loken still made an impact when healthy, stepping into the backfield as a running back for the Thunderbirds. With Iola-Scandinavia moving to 8-player football this fall, there will be plenty of interest in how coaches utilize one of the state’s premier athletes.

Although Loken has shown he can impact a game with the ball in his hands, his future at the next level is expected to come as a tight end.

Just over 30 miles away, Notre Dame Academy’s Joey Massey is another tight end prospect drawing attention.

Massey was a key part of the Tritons’ offense last season, finishing second on the team with 16 receptions for 352 yards and three touchdowns. The senior-to-be brings impressive athletic ability, including a reported 4.63-second 40-yard dash, a 33-inch vertical jump, and elite strength numbers in the weight room.

Massey is also a major contributor as a blocker in Notre Dame’s powerful rushing attack and recently committed to play college football at Iowa State.
