The tournament assignments for Girls wrestling 2027 season once again shows some changes from last year.
Regionals will be on February 5 and Sectionals will be February 12. Team Sectionals will be on February 19, with the team state tournament taking place over the first weekend in March.
Several schools from the immediate area are assigned to the Sectional B, which will be hosted by Antigo.
The Oconto Falls Regional features several local rivals, including Oconto Falls, Oconto, Peshtigo, Marinette, Suring/Gillett, Coleman, Crivitz/Wausaukee, Florence/Niagara, Lena, Menominee Nation and Wabeno/Laona.
Meanwhile, Shawano Bonduel, Clintonville, New London, Seymour, Shiocton, Pulaski and several Green Bay-area schools will compete together in another regional under the Sectional B bracket with a host yet to be determined.
The Antigo Regional will include Antigo, Crandon, Elcho, Manawa, Mosinee, Rosholt, Wittenberg-Birnamwood and neighboring programs, while the Wausau West Regional brings together schools such as D.C. Everest, Wausau East, Wausau West and nearby central Wisconsin programs.
Fox Valley Schools Head to Sectional D
Several area programs will compete in Sectional D, anchored by regional tournaments at Waupaca, Two Rivers, Wautoma/Wild Rose, and another site to be determined.
The Waupaca Regional includes Waupaca, Hortonville, Menasha, Neenah, Appleton East, Appleton West, Winneconne, Weyauwega-Fremont, Almond-Bancroft, Tri-County and Xavier.
The Two Rivers Regional features Appleton North, Kaukauna, Kimberly, Little Chute, Freedom, Denmark, Brillion, Chilton/Hilbert, Kiel, Mishicot, Reedsville, Two Rivers, Wrightstown and other eastern Wisconsin schools.
